Lexmark Ireland (ISSC)

My experience working with Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon over the past number of years has been a very positive one.
Lexmark Ireland (ISSC) first worked with Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon in 2006. The company initially provided Lexmark Ireland with outsourced HR Services, with Áine McKevitt, HR Consultant, coming on site monthly to provide support and coaching to people managers, as well as being available on call when needed.
Following on from the success of this service the relationship with Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon developed over time, and they are now the first external organisation Lexmark Ireland turns to for assistance and support.
In May 2008 it was announced that on a phased basis the functions carried out by Lexmark Ireland would transfer to a new Shared Services Centre in Budapest, Hungary – in all 32 positions were to be affected. This was to result in the closure of Lexmark Ireland, with final closure planned for mid 2009.
As the person responsible for managing this change I knew that we were facing many unknowns and I decided to involve Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon at the earliest stage in the process. Catherine Corcoran and the HR Management Consultancy Team in Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon have played a vital role throughout, and have been central to the success of the change process.
Support provided by Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon was initially focused on the Lexmark Ireland Employee Consultation Process (relating to Transfer of Undertaking & Redundancy) and Patricia Gordon played an important role in managing documentation throughout this stage.
In the early stages of the process also, I worked closely with Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon to design an Employee Assistance Program in order to provide support and assistance to those impacted by the change. It was determined that this program would include several workshops as well as a number of individual coaching and developments sessions with Lexmark Ireland employees.
The quality of the work done by the Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon team on this program is the reason it has been so successful. And it is this program in particular that has helped to ensure that Lexmark Ireland staff have remained with the company, carrying out their functions as normal, until their role transfers to Budapest, in many cases a full year later.
In conclusion, over the past several years Lexmark Ireland has come to rely on Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon as a business partner and in all our work with Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon the services provided by Catherine Corcoran and her team have not only met but exceeded our expectations.
