Mandatory E-Filing of Returns

Many of you may have received notifications over the last two months in relation to the Revenue Commissioners’ e-filing program, and you may also recall our TaxFlash on this item last March. Certain individuals and companies are obliged, from 1 June 2011, to file their tax returns and pay their tax liabilities online using the Revenue Online Service (ROS).

The majority of Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon clients already pay and file online when making income tax or corporation tax returns. However, please be aware that any tax filing obligations you fulfil yourself, and not through Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon, may also now fall within the mandatory e-filing regime.
